On Sunday, June 25, 2017, at 12:47 p.m., County firefighters responded to a report of a traffic collision with fire on Highway 14 at Placerita Canyon Road in Santa Clarita. Upon arrival, firefighters found a single vehicle that crashed into a tree, igniting a one-quarter acre brush fire burning in light to medium brush.
The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries from the traffic collision and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment. To date, six minor injuries have been reported.
One cabin, one façade and a bridge were consumed by fire. All evacuation orders have been lifted.
