Get your running shoes and form your teams, Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) personnel!
The 3rd Annual Run To Remember Los Angeles will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 — and everyone in our Department is encouraged to come out to participate and represent the men and women of LACoFD!
Now in its third year, the race was modeled after the Run to Remember Boston and gives first responders the opportunity to honor those who have served and paid the ultimate sacrifice. Funds raised through the event support families of the fallen and charities that help first responders to serve their citizens and communities.
LACoFD is partnering with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles Police Department, and Los Angeles City Fire Department to host this year’s event. The race begins at the Grove shopping venue, continues through Paramount Pictures Studios, and includes entertainment and tributes along the way.
Ready to sign up? For the First Responder Challenge*, five or more sworn first responders are needed to form a team to run the Half Marathon. The fastest teams will earn a cash contribution for the team’s favorite charity. Everyone can support this great cause by signing up to run the half marathon or 10K as individuals representing the LACoFD family!
Join in the fun today by registering at RunToRememberLA.org
* When registering be sure to click yes for “Active 1st Responder” and then enter your department name. Once 5 or more from your department are registered, we will create your 1st Responder Challenge team.
