The numbers are out, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) is proud to announce its personnel helped to raise a total of $30,518 for the County’s 2018 “Imagine a World” March of Dimes campaign. The fundraising effort was record-breaking for LACoFD on two counts, the amount raised increased by over $6,000 from 2017 and now ranks LACoFD 3rd overall (previously 5th) behind Public Social Services ($75,283.76) and Internal Services ($37,214.15). This is an incredible accomplishment for a department with less than 5,000 permanent employees. LACoFD’s efforts far surpassed many County departments that have two and three times more personnel.

Each year, special incentives such as Blue Jeans for Babies — which gives employees who donate $5 the OK to wear jeans to work for the day, and the annual BBQ — where LACoFD executives help serve the food at its headquarters, make fundraising efforts fun for everyone involved.

Thank you to all LACoFD employees for your passion and participation!
