More than 50 Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) Fire Explorers completed the 20-hour Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training and earned a certificate of completion on Saturday, January 28, 2023.
The Department held a special CERT completion ceremony for parents and guardians to attend.
For three consecutive Saturdays, beginning January 14 to January 28, these dedicated Explorers learned hands-on skills in disaster preparedness, fire suppression, medical operations, search and rescue, and team organization.
In the event of an emergency, these individuals are now equipped with the necessary skills to care for themselves, their families, and neighbors.
