Fire Fighter Paramedic Tolmasoff is the Walnut Valley Rotary Club’s 2017 Firefighter of the Year.

On Tuesday, June 13, members of the Walnut Valley Rotary Club held their annual Public Safety Recognition Ceremony at the Diamond Bar Golf Course. Firefighters and deputies serving the cities of Walnut and Diamond Bar were honored for their service to the community. Surrounded by members of the Walnut Valley Rotary Club and his crew from Fire Station 120, Fire Fighter Paramedic John Tolmasoff was recognized as Walnut Valley Rotary Club’s 2017 Firefighter of the Year.
A 23 year member of the Department, Tolmasoff has invested 13 of those years serving the cities of Diamond Bar and Walnut at stations 119 and 120. Fire Captain Paul Rusin spoke about Tolmasoff’s integrity and compassion for others while serving the community.

Since middle school, Tolmasoff always had an interest in helping others and the fire service. He says that every day provides a different experience, challenge, and even after 23 years of service, being a paramedic continues to be rewarding. Division VIII congratulates Fire Fighter Paramedic John Tolmasoff for an outstanding job!
